About This Position
JOB SUMMARY
Prepares and serves nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages to members and guests in member dining rooms and designated rooms throughout the Club.

· Exhibit sound time management and organizational skills.
· Ensure the supplies needed to operate are properly stocked.
· Maintain an organized and clean work station that is member ready.

· Report all accidents to your supervisor immediately.
· Take pride in the club - report all damage or vandalism to club property.
· Report all safety hazards to your supervisor.
· Follow all Club policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook.
· Follow all departmental rules communicated by your supervisor.
5. Essential Job Functions
·knowledge of Club liquor policies and procedures
Inspects bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available, then stocks accordingly
· Follows set-up procedures
· Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon arrival.
· Mixes, prepares, and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by Management
· Offer daily specials and takes orders.
· Recommend wine with evening meals when appropriate.
· Serves meals; place dishes by course in front of each person; serves from the left of each person.
· Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenish water, coffee, butter, etc. as necessary.
· Removes soiled dishes.
· Suggest and serves desserts, coffee and after dinner drinks.
· Present chits for signature.
· Keep tables, dining room and station clean.
· Assist in bussing and resetting of tables and rooms when necessary.
· Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
· Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.
· Attend pre-meal and event meetings.
· Prepare all chits correctly providing complete information and turns in signed chits at the end of each shift.
· Knowledge of Club liquor policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of Club menus in all dining outlets.
· Knowledge of Club liquor offerings.
· Has member/guest sign chits
· Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur
· Maintains and cleans equipment
· Cleans and locks everything according to prescribed procedures
· Delivers all beverages back to the appropriate place.
· Records beverages to reconciliation sheet after each event and gives to manager on duty.
Requirements:6. Job Qualifications
· Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
· Good knowledge of liquor and wine
· Good organizational skills
· Positive attitude and highly motivated
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years experience bartending
· Extremely strong communication skills using spoken and written words.
· Ability to stand on feet for extended period of time.
7. Scope of Responsibility
Knows the formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies and procedure including some familiarity of other departments within the club. Is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the various departments of the club.
8. Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
