Role Overview
We’re looking for a VP of Field Operations & Employee Experience to lead the day-to-day operational management of our field workforce.This role is responsible for how our field employees are supported, managed, and experience the organization outside of project delivery. You will own the operational processes that impact field employees directly, including PTO, expenses, HR coordination, benefits support, and ongoing engagement.This role is distinct from project delivery. It exists to ensure our field workforce can operate effectively, consistently, and at scale.

What You’ll Do:
Own Field Workforce Operations
- Oversee all day-to-day administrative and operational processes impacting field employees
- Ensure consistent handling of:
- PTO
- expenses
- benefits coordination
- workforce-related administrative needs
Manage Field Workforce Support Team
- Lead Associate Directors responsible for direct engagement with field employees
- Ensure consistent support model across regions
- Set clear operating rhythms and expectations
Own Field Employee Experience
- Establish weekly touchpoints and structured check-ins
- Monitor employee sentiment, issues, and engagement
- Act as escalation point for field-related HR issues (in partnership with HR)
Drive Retention & Stability
- Track and manage field attrition trends
- Identify root causes and implement improvements
- Improve consistency and predictability of workforce experience
Bridge Field and HQ
- Partner with HR, and Enterprise Ops
- Ensure HQ processes actually work in the field
- Provide feedback to improve systems and workflows
What We’re Looking For:
- 12+ years of experience in operations, field operations, or workforce operations leadership
- Experience supporting large, distributed field teams (construction, industrial, or similar environments preferred)
- Strong understanding of workforce operations, including PTO, expenses, employee support, and day-to-day field operations
- Experience driving process standardization and operational efficiency across high-volume, people-driven environments
- Ability to operate effectively between field teams and corporate functions (HR, systems, leadership)
- Strong problem solver with the ability to bring structure to high-volume, people-related operations
- Proven ability to lead through others and manage multi-layered teams
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
