In this role, you will design and deploy advanced machine learning solutions that directly support high-impact, real-world applications. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of AI development, from data processing and model training to production deployment and optimization. This is a hands-on engineering position suited for someone who enjoys building scalable systems and seeing their work operationalized in mission-critical environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing AI systems. The environment is fast-paced, technically challenging, and focused on innovation, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and end-to-end pipelines aligned with performance and mission objectives
- Build, train, and fine-tune machine learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and related tools
- Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for training, deployment, and monitoring of models
- Implement and optimize vector databases and retrieval-based architectures (e.g., RAG, hybrid, graph-based systems)
- Write efficient Python code for data processing, feature engineering, embeddings, and inference services
- Experiment with and optimize large language models and task-specific models using modern fine-tuning techniques
- Contribute to the development of agent-based AI applications and intelligent workflows
- Integrate AI solutions into production systems through APIs, event-driven architectures, or user-facing applications
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure models are scalable, reliable, and aligned with requirements
- Document models, experiments, and workflows to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing
- 6–10+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
- At least 3 years of experience working within secure or regulated environments (e.g., defense or similar sectors)
- Strong programming skills in Python with hands-on experience in ML development
- Proficiency with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, or LangChain
- Experience building and managing MLOps pipelines using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar
- Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Pinecone, FAISS) and retrieval architectures
- Experience fine-tuning and evaluating machine learning or language models using modern techniques (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT)
- Proven ability to integrate AI solutions into production-grade systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to performance and scalability
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- U.S. citizenship and willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance
