About This Position
Summary: Orangewood’s Social Media and Marketing Manager serves as a hands-on partner to the Communications Manager in advancing the school’s mission by developing and implementing creative, data informed marketing and communications strategies that strengthen engagement across students, families, alumni and the community.
The Social Media and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for Orangewood’s digital communications, social media presence, and storytelling across multiple platforms. The Social Media and Marketing Manager exercises independent judgment in shaping messaging, content strategy and brand expression.
The Social Media and Marketing Manager is a position requiring a calling to use God-given talents to further the Kingdom of God. The Social Media and Marketing Manager is expected to be a minister to the OCS community through actions, speech, attitude, and prayer, as they point students to Christ.
Essential Functions:
· Lead and execute a comprehensive digital marketing and social media strategy aligned with the school’s mission, brand and strategic priorities
· Oversee the school’s social media presence, including platform strategy, content direction, posting cadence, and engagement approach
· Develop original storytelling concepts and campaigns that reflect Orangewood’s culture, values and community impact
· Analyze engagement metrics and performance data, using insights to refine strategy and improve effectiveness across platforms
· Serve as a communications partner to internal and external stakeholders
· Identify and implement new tools, trends, and strategies to enhance engagement and storytelling effectiveness
· Lead the planning and execution of digital campaigns for key initiatives, events, and school programs
· Oversee and produce original content including video, photography, graphics, and written communications, ensuring consistency and quality
· Manage and prioritize communication requests across the organization, aligning efforts with strategic goals
· Maintain and evolve the school’s digital presence, including website content, email communications, and emerging platforms
· Ensure content enhances Orangewood’s public reputation and represents Orangewood in a positive manner consistent with its values and culture
Supplemental Function:
· Collaborate with leadership to support broader marketing and enrollment initiatives
· Assist in managing external vendors as needed
· Participate in school events and activities to support communication efforts
· Perform other duties, as assigned

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills-including effective storytelling, presentation skills, and ability to engage with and advise senior executives
- Can work in a matrixed organization with a cross-functional experience in a school settings or service industry, a plus
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high-level of comfort with ambiguity
- Be proficient in Apple, as well as MS Office suite-including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and One Drive; knowledge of the latest internal communications measurement platforms a plus
- Be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Spark and/or Canva, a plus
- Have some experience with various social media platforms (Facebook, Insta, LinkedIn)

Requirements:Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, public relations, journalism, or a related field; equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Qualifications: Prefer 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, social media management, or a related field
