PART TIME- Maintenance Technician at Spaceage Synthetics LTD – Fargo, North Dakota

THIS POSITION IS PART TIME- 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK

The primary function of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot and improve all mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant. As a secondary objective, this position will support the engineering department by assisting in new product development, equipment implementation, and component design by utilizing skills in welding, electronics, programming, hydraulic and pneumatic to meet project deadlines and goals.

1. Update and manage completion of PMP process and schedule in accordance with Engineering Manager.
2. Keep PMP listed parts on hand and manage inventory.
3. Work with Manufacturing Engineer to implement and develop systematic process improvements
4. Work with Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Engineer to develop new systems and products.
5. Work with Suppliers of Maintenance tools, supplies, parts, chemicals for price and supply. Purchases equipment, supplies and materials as budged and approved.
6. Monitor spending of Repairs and Maintenance budget Primary, Secondary, and Plant, as well as small tools.
7. Repair equipment in a timely, cost effective manner in accordance with Engineering Manager.
8. Keep Engineering Manager abreast of any expenses beyond budget and/or scheduled maintenance costs.
9. Fabricate or sub contract the fabrication of floor racks, carts, supports, safety guards, etc.
10. Complete all safety training programs and score within SAS standard requirements.
11. Participate in Committees as requested, Safety Committee, Quality Circles, EAC etc.
12. Alert Engineering Manager of any safety Concerns
13. Report any other needs to Engineering Manager(special tools, personnel, etc.)
14. Develop, track and log maintenance and production issues to establish a trouble shooting guide and record of issues.
15. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
16. Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SpaceAge Synthetics.
