About This Position
Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for receiving deliveries, cleaning/maintaining the facility, and providing culinary support to the commissary kitchen. Assisting prep cook as assigned by Chef on Duty.
RESPONSIBILITIESRECEIVER- Receive all product deliveries
- Take inventory of and stocks product
- Organize product in the walk-in and all storage areas
- Organize linen and chef shirts
- Cleaning/maintenance of the facility
- Cleaning/maintenance of all restrooms - employee
- Operate the dish machine and other cleaning equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and prep areas by emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, sweeping snow from sidewalk, etc. throughout service
- Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas: dry storage, walk-in cooler, freezers, paper good storage, chemical storage, beverage storage, locker room, and any other storage areas
- Dispose of all trash, cardboard, etc. as needed throughout shift and empty trash cans from all areas
- Wash pots, pans, trays and other designated items by hand
- Fill/empty containers of chemicals used to clean and maintain knowledge of the uses of such chemicals
- Sweep and dry mop floors
- Maintain sanitation to Department of Health standards
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Receive & organize linen supply, sorting and bagging soiled linen
- Complete opening and closing side work checklist for shift daily
- Complete deep cleaning projects as assigned each week
- Perform other tasks as directed by the manager
- The ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
- The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- The ability to go up and down stairs multiple times per day
- Adaptable in fast-paced and challenging work environment

- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress

- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
- Communicate information effectively and efficiently
- Maintain general knowledge of the restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc.
- Participate in community events and ensure corporate social responsibility goals of Company are met
- Attend mandatory meetings
- Adhere to all HR policies and guidelines
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Management Team
