| Required License/Registration/Certification | None. Student employee will be required to attain the Wilderness First Responder certification along with some in house training once hired. |
| Physical Requirements | The position may require lifting or pushing objects up to 50lbs, or extended amounts of time walking or standing. |
| Shift | Trips can range from half day to full day to overnight. Spring break and fall break trip leaders will be chosen by the Coordinator. |
| Job Summary | - Participate in pre trip meetings with Coordinator and Assistant Director - Conduct pre trip meetings with participants when needed based on trip. - Help promote and market the trips throughout the semester - Lead at least 2 trips in the Fall and then again in the Spring - Update the Coordinator with travel updates when applicable or asked for. - Stay current with best practices and trends - Attend and participate in all monthly staff meetings during the semester - Maintain WFR, First Aid, CPR and AED certification as well as in house trainings. - Pass monthly test outs for WFR scenarios conducted by the Coordinator. - Have knowledge of current Adventure Trips and where to get more information This position is also Federal Work-Study eligible, if you qualify. |
