The Assistant Registrar for Registration and Graduation is responsible for maintaining the student academic records and ensuring University policy and procedures are applied correctly to registration, graduation, and advising activities. The role manages data entry related to student records updates that will include add/drop, major declaration, and major substitutions. The Assistant Registrar for Registration and Graduation completes graduation clearance for undergraduate students before each conferral date and participates in Commencement and related activities. This role is the first point of contact for students on all inquiries and supports other members of the registrar's team as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve in-person and phone customer service inquiries regarding registration, graduation, advisement and other registrar functions; route inquiries to appropriate team members or campus partners as needed. Process enrollment verification requests. Monitor and respond to messages sent to the registrar's office's primary email address.
- Update student records including add/drop and audit requests, major/minor declarations, and major/minor substitutions.
- Review undergraduate candidates for graduation and certify completion before each conferral date. Communicate issues with degree progress back to students and academic advisors. Update student advisement records as needed to reflect degree progress.
- Coordinate the consortium cross-registration process with partner schools including cross-registration enrollment and grade entry.
- Perform evaluation of college transfer credit from accredited colleges, which also include transfer credit by exam (AP, IB, and CLEP)
- Support other main office functions and complete special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years working in a registrar's office or college office setting required.
- Demonstrated MS Office knowledge, including proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills and a service orientation.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Possess the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- 3-5 years working in a registrar's office or college office setting preferred.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner preferred.
Additional Information:
Expected Hiring Range: $49,800 to $54,750

The compensation for this position will be determined based on factors that include available budget, internal equity, and the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related credentials. This range represents Clark University's good-faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting consistent with Clark's compensation philosophy and internal alignment.
