The Opportunity

Lesley University’s Department of Liberal Arts and Business is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach: CCRWT 1400: Intro to Creative Writing; Spring Semester 2026; Tuesdays/Fridays 12:55- 2:10pm; In-person

Course Description:

This introduction to creative writing is designed to familiarize students with conventions of literary writing in both prose and poetry. Students will produce weekly creative writing assignments in the genres of non-fiction, fiction, poetry and drama. Students will engage both theoretical and practical readings to supplement their writing. At the end of the course, the students will be familiar with the conventions, intricacies, and terminology as employed in the four genres.

Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

  • MFA in Creative Writing (required);

  • Successful experience teaching Creative Writing at the undergraduate level
