The Logic School Teacher plays a key role in guiding students as they transition toward greater independence in thought, helping them develop strong reasoning skills, intellectual curiosity, and disciplined habits of inquiry. Through intentional instruction, thoughtful dialogue, and collaboration with colleagues, the teacher equips students to pursue truth with clarity, humility, and confidence.

Optional partial tuition credit available.Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Instruction & Homeroom ResponsibilitiesServe as the Logic II-III Co-Homeroom Teacher, setting the tone for a structured and nurturing learning environment.Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the classical education philosophy.Organize and manage a structured, orderly, and visually beautiful classroom to promote a peaceful and effective learning environment.Implement effective classroom management strategies, routines, and rhythms to foster student responsibility and attentiveness.Monitor student progress, evaluate performance, and provide timely feedback on academic achievement, social-emotional development, and character formation.Maintain and update the gradebook on the school’s server for parent accessibility and transparency.Assist with assessing incoming students to determine grade-level proficiency.Keep lesson plans updated and uploaded on the school server, creating curriculum maps for all grade-level subjects.Commit to seeking out and pursuing personal and professional development to grow as a classical educator. Communication & CollaborationCommunicate regularly with parents and fellow faculty members regarding student progress, classroom activities, and academic expectations.Participate in faculty meetings and professional development workshops to enhance instructional effectiveness.Collaborate with other educators to integrate reading strategies across different subjects within the logic school curriculum.Assist in school programming, including morning supervision, recess and lunch duty, drop-off and pick-up procedures.Professional ResponsibilitiesPrepare lesson plans for substitute teachers and secure a substitute when needing to be absent (sickness, doctor's appointments, jury duty, etc.).Complete regular report cards and progress reports in alignment with the academic calendar.Participate in parent-teacher conferences twice a year, with meetings scheduled after normal school hours as needed.Maintain updated lesson plans and curriculum maps on the school’s server for consistency and accessibility.Take responsibility for student learning outcomes, providing academic support and reasonable accommodations before, during, or after school when needed
