This role is designed for experienced forensic psychology professionals who are passionate about mentoring doctoral students and contributing to high-level academic research. You will primarily chair or serve as a committee member on dissertation projects, guiding students in research methodology and content expertise. This part-time, flexible position allows you to make a meaningful impact in students’ educational journeys while engaging in scholarly activity. You will work in a collaborative online environment, using advanced learning platforms to provide timely feedback, maintain academic rigor, and support student development. Occasional course instruction or residency participation may be required, offering additional opportunities for professional engagement. The position emphasizes leadership, research proficiency, and the ability to foster student growth in a respectful and inclusive academic setting.
- Chair and/or serve as a committee member on doctoral dissertation projects, providing expert guidance in forensic psychology research
- Advise students on research design, methodology, and content development in alignment with academic standards
- Provide thoughtful, timely, and well-written feedback to students through online learning platforms
- Participate in training, mentoring, and faculty development programs to maintain instructional quality
- Ensure compliance with academic integrity policies and university standards in all student interactions
- Occasionally instruct graduate-level content or research methodology courses, as applicable
- Support residencies or intensive programs, either virtually or in-person, when required
- Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain program excellence and student success
- Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least one year of experience serving on doctoral committees, preferably as Chair
- Evidence of continuing scholarly or creative work within the past five years
- Strong research methodology expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, with preference for quantitative methods
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of direct forensic experience over five years, or completion of a 2,000-hour formal postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology
- Proficiency with APA 7th edition guidelines and academic writing standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Comfort and proficiency with online learning platforms, Microsoft 365 tools, and technology required for remote instruction
