Responsibilities

Are you passionate about driving innovation and creating exceptional experiences with cutting-edge cloud technology? We are seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join the Agent & Contact Center Service Experience (ACCSE) team within the Agency, Marketing & Contact Center (AMCC) tower of Enterprise Technology. We drive the technical direction and outcome delivery of integrated, omni-channel contact flows that automate tasks and when needed connects agents and agent team members to the appropriate support resources to service their customers. The ideal candidates will have proven experience with AWS, including software delivery, solution design, and deployment, and bring an innovative mindset to the role.

As a Software Engineer, you can expect to:

  • Participate in sprint planning, provide work estimates, and own development stories from inception through delivery.
  • Technical delivery and solution design for Amazon Connect (Hercules) contact center flows (voice, chat, text/SMS)
  • Create automated solutions on AWS that are leveraged across multiple channels
  • Could include delivering user interfaces/journeys leveraging Angular framework
  • Direct the development of generative AI solutions related to contact optimization (right channeling), intent determination, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation
  • Apply advanced software engineering skills to design, build, and maintain full-stack applications.
  • Apply agile software development best practices including continuous delivery, code reviews, source control, and automated testing.
  • Triage and resolve complex technical issues, staying current with technology trends and applying best practices in software and data design.
  • Influence product vision and technical direction; promote collaboration, engagement, and knowledge-sharing within the product suite and larger ET community.
  • Lead efforts in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and risk mitigation to ensure high availability and quality.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and quality across the software lifecycle.
  • Produce clear documentation to support deployment, maintenance, and business teams.
  • Manage multiple efforts spanning several business areas, always with an emphasis on exceptional user experience and enterprise collaboration.



Qualifications
  • Possesses a proven experience and proficiency in cloud computing technologies; namely:
    • Contact Center & Conversational AI: Amazon Connect, Lex, Polly
    • Serverless & API Development/Utilization: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, REST API’s
    • Data Management & Security: DynamoDB, S3, IAM
    • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
    • DevOps Practices: Git, GitOps, CI/CD, Pipelines
    • Monitoring & Visualization: CloudWatch, Dynatrace
    • Notification & Messaging Services: SNS, SES
    • Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, JSON
  • Demonstrates strong consulting and problem-solving skills
  • Drives initiatives with a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Champions the use of Generative AI (e.g., Co-Pilot) in daily development workflows (coding, documentation, testing, and ideation).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and business areas.
  • Embraces change, adjusts easily to new challenges, and maintains a focus on excellence in outcome delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead offshore resources is a plus.

  • Potential starting salary range: $80,600 - $100,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
