Cook/Site Assistant - SEP at Adelante Development Center – Mesilla, New Mexico

This position is part of the Senior Employment Program (SEP), which employs older adults gain skill-building, meaningful employment while making a positive impact in the community.

In this position, you will get to assist in preparing and serving meals, support home-delivered meal services, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with a team and contributing to a program that supports seniors in the community.

• Prepare and serve meals following program guidelines
• Assist with home-delivered meals
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
• Monitor food storage and kitchen supplies
• Package and label leftover meals for delivery
• Assist with kitchen documentation and daily operations

Part-Time | Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Starting Pay: From $13.00 per hour

• Must be age 55+ and eligible for SEP
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of food preparation experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Valid NM driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
