How we will deliver success together:
The Product Marketing Manager at Shippo plays a key role in translating our product capabilities into clear customer value. This role partners closely with Product, Sales, and GTM Marketing to bring new features to market, strengthen our product positioning, and drive adoption across the Shippo platform.
We’re looking for a strategic and curious marketer who thrives at the intersection of product, storytelling, and customer insight. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll help shape how the market understands Shippo and ensure the products we build translate into meaningful outcomes for merchants.
You’ll join a collaborative, agile, and results-driven Marketing team that’s passionate about helping businesses ship smarter and scale their operations.
Shipping & handling responsibilities
- Develop clear messaging and positioning for Shippo’s products across both our app and API offerings, ensuring our value resonates with merchants, developers, and platform partners.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to bring new features and capabilities to market through coordinated go-to-market planning and execution.
- Own messaging and go-to-market support for product launches, ensuring new capabilities translate into clear customer understanding and product adoption.
- Conduct customer and market research—including interviews, win/loss analysis, and usage insights—to deepen understanding of shipper needs and behavior.
- Own competitive intelligence across the shipping and logistics technology landscape, translating insights into positioning updates, battlecards, and sales enablement materials.
- Enable Sales and Partnerships teams with product collateral, pitch narratives, and feature education that improve customer understanding and win rates.
- Partner with Demand Generation and Growth Marketing teams to ensure campaigns accurately reflect product value and target the right audiences.
- Work with Product and Growth teams to improve onboarding, activation, and feature usage through product messaging, lifecycle communications, and educational content.
- Represent the voice of the shipper internally by bringing customer insights, competitive dynamics, and market feedback into product and go-to-market decisions.
- Monitor product adoption metrics and identify opportunities to increase engagement and feature usage across the platform.
Your shipping requirements
- 3–5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, fintech, or platform-based products.
- Strong ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear and compelling customer messaging.
- Experience supporting product launches and go-to-market initiatives in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.
- Experience conducting customer research, competitive analysis, and market insight development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear narratives, product materials, and presentations.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience partnering with Product, Growth Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence product adoption, activation, or feature usage through messaging, education, or lifecycle initiatives.
- Experience in eCommerce, logistics, or shipping technology is required.
- Experience marketing developer or API products is a strong plus.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with multiple audiences and product surfaces.

Compensation
Our Compensation Shippolicy:
We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $122k to a max $165k annual salary (we tend to anchor our offers at the mid point $144). Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos “package” section.
