About This Position
Transform the Future of Behavioral Health
Are you a visionary leader passionate about expanding access to high-quality mental health and substance use services? Riverbend Community Mental Health is seeking a dynamic CCBHC Project Director to lead our transition into a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic.
As the primary architect of this transformation, you will provide the strategic and operational leadership necessary to implement, certify, and sustain the CCBHC model. You’ll be at the forefront of a system-wide evolution, ensuring that Riverbend remains a leader in integrated, person-centered care for our community.
Why Riverbend?
At Riverbend, we believe that everyone deserves access to the highest quality care. By leading our CCBHC initiative, you aren't just taking a job; you’re building a sustainable future for behavioral health in New Hampshire. We offer a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your leadership directly impacts the lives of thousands.
What You’ll Do
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will drive organizational readiness and oversee every facet of the CCBHC project lifecycle.
- Lead the Charge: Orchestrate the planning, execution, and evaluation of all CCBHC activities, ensuring we meet—and exceed—New Hampshire and SAMHSA certification standards.
- Navigate Certification: Direct the application process and serve as our primary liaison with the NH DHHS and federal partners.
- Drive Strategy: Partner with senior leadership to bridge the gap between high-level organizational strategy and day-to-day operational execution.
- Collaborate & Connect: Chair internal committees, facilitate stakeholder trainings, and work alongside elite external consultants (like Helms & Co.) to ensure a seamless rollout.
- Measure Impact: Oversee data collection and reporting, ensuring our progress is tracked accurately and our successes are shared nationally through learning collaboratives.
Who You Are
- A Strategic Executor: You don't just plan; you do. You have a proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects within healthcare or behavioral health space.
- A Systems Thinker: You understand how different departments—from clinical to IT to finance—must interlock to support a unified care model.
- A Compliance Expert: You possess (or are ready to master) a deep understanding of federal and state CCBHC criteria.
- An Inspiring Communicator: You can translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable steps that motivate staff and engage community partners.
What we’re Looking For
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to lead initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of change management concepts.
- A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance with minimum coverage of 100,00/300,00 are essential.
What You’ll Bring
- Master’s degree in behavioral health, public health, healthcare administration, equivalent experience managing federal or state-wide contracts/grants.
- Experience with CCBHC implementation or certification processes.
- Familiarity with SAMHSA-funded programs or state regulatory requirements.
- Experience in contract funded program management.
- Leadership experience within a community mental health setting.
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems, quality improvement methodologies (CQI), data analysis, and program evaluation.
- Experience with budget oversight and financial tracking.
Outstanding Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive wages are $88,800 to $129,990 depending on level of education and experience.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual and 8 Paid Holidays.
