Maintenance/Transmitter Technician-Full Time at WHDH-TV – Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining digital broadcast equipment, including:
  • Video routers and switchers
  • Video servers
  • Non-linear editing systems
  • Automation systems
  • Cameras and robotics
  • Digital audio consoles
• Supporting network integration, microwave, and satellite systems
• Maintaining high-power UHF DTV transmitters at remote location
• Working with related systems, including:
  • 480V 3-phase electrical systems
  • HVAC systems
  • Diesel generators
  • CCTV camera systems

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in broadcast or related fields
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with TCP/IP networking
• CAD experience is a plus
• SBE certification and FCC license preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $75,660-$95,000 annually. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.
