Job Title: EHS and Facilities Coordinator

Job Function: Facilities

Job Overview: The EHS & Facilities Coordinator supports daily facility operations while assisting in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-functioning work environment through hands-on facility support, safety inspections, and coordination of compliance activities

Key Responsibilities

1. Facilities Operations & Maintenance

• Coordinate building maintenance and repair work (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

• Schedule and oversee contractors and service providers

• Maintain facility records, logs, and reports

• Follow established procedures to support compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Assist with office space planning and seating arrangements

• Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment

• Handle facility-related requests from employees

• Assist in emergency preparedness and response planning

• Support office moves, setups, and renovations

Inventory & Procurement

• Procure materials, tools, and supplies needed for facility and maintenance tasks

• Monitor tool crib inventory and ensure safe operation of hand tools

2. Environmental (Waste & Sustainability)

• Assist in maintaining logs of waste manifests and compliance records

• Track and report waste management activities in compliance with regulations

• Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives for waste reduction and recycling programs

3. Chemical & Hazardous Materials Management

• Assist in maintaining and updating the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database

• Assist in ensuring proper labeling, storage, and handling of chemicals in accordance with regulatory requirement

• Conduct periodic inspections of chemical storage areas

• Assist in maintaining hazardous materials business Plan (HMBP) and Department of and coordinate updates with regulatory agencies as needed

• Support audits and recordkeeping for Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) compliance

4. Safety & Compliance

• Support routine workplace safety inspections and maintain records

• Support company-wide safety initiatives and training programs

• Coordinate safety committee activities and responses

• Assist in scheduling and tracking safety training and maintaining training records

• Partner with Quality to support ISO 14001 compliance and continuous improvement efforts

Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in facilities, EHS, or manufacturing environment preferred

• High school diploma required, associate degree or higher preferred

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety practices

• Familiarity with hazardous waste handling and environmental compliance preferred

• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with tracking or work order systems is a plus
