This role is a high-impact, field-focused engineering position responsible for leading end-to-end site implementation activities for complex aviation systems. You will act as the central technical and operational lead across assigned sites, ensuring seamless coordination between engineering teams, contractors, and government stakeholders. From initial site surveys through system installation and final operational readiness, you will oversee every phase of deployment. The position requires strong technical expertise, field execution discipline, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in mission-critical environments. You will play a key role in ensuring that advanced FAA systems are successfully delivered, tested, and certified for operational use. This is a hands-on leadership role where precision, accountability, and communication directly influence program success and national aviation infrastructure performance.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead full site implementation activities for complex aviation system deployments, from pre-site surveys through operational readiness.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all site-level program activities, coordinating internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed site implementation schedules, ensuring alignment with program milestones and deadlines.
  • Oversee site surveys, hardware installation, software configuration, cab design, and system integration activities.
  • Supervise Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI), and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI).
  • Facilitate Operational Readiness Declaration (ORD) and ensure successful system commissioning and Initial Operating Capability (IOC).
  • Provide consistent status reporting, risk management updates, and performance visibility to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 15+ years of FAA field operations technical support experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in site implementation, systems engineering, or large-scale technical project management.
  • Strong background in aviation, defense, or government infrastructure programs.
  • Familiarity with FAA systems such as Delphi and CWP is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across multi-phase, high-complexity deployments.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently (approximately 50–75%).
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card (minimum 3 years residency required).
  • Experience with site surveys, installation, system testing, and readiness certification processes is highly valued.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: USD 115,500 – USD 180,525 per year (full-time equivalent).
  • Comprehensive health, life, disability, and retirement benefits.
  • Paid leave, flexible work arrangements (remote/hybrid subject to program needs).
  • Professional development, tuition assistance, and career growth opportunities.
  • Performance recognition programs and total rewards initiatives.
  • Work-life balance support and employee well-being programs.
