We are looking for a data-driven YouTube Strategist who can take full ownership of channel growth, content strategy, and performance. This role is highly focused on analytics, ideation, and scaling channels, rather than video editing.

About the Role:
We are looking for a data-driven YouTube Strategist who can take full ownership of channel growth, content strategy, and performance. This role is highly focused on analytics, ideation, and scaling channels, rather than video editing.
You will work closely with editors and content teams to ensure videos are optimized for maximum reach, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Growth & Strategy
- Own and execute the overall YouTube growth strategy
- Identify opportunities to scale views, subscribers, and watch time
- Develop content frameworks and repeatable formats
- Generate high-performing video ideas based on trends, competitors, and data
- Plan weekly/monthly content calendars
- Work with scriptwriters/editors to ensure strong hooks and storytelling
- Deep dive into YouTube Analytics (CTR, retention, watch time, drop-offs)
- Identify patterns and optimize underperforming content
- Provide actionable insights to improve future videos
- Guide thumbnails, titles, and descriptions for maximum CTR
- Run A/B testing on titles and thumbnails
- Ensure all uploads follow YouTube SEO best practices
- Coordinate with video editors, designers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure timely publishing and consistency
- Maintain quality control across all uploads
Must-Have Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional video editing experience
- Proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels (long form video)
- Strong understanding of YouTube algorithm, trends, and audience behavior
- Experience with tools like YouTube Studio, VidIQ, TubeBuddy, etc.
- Ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable strategies
- Strong content sense (what works, what doesn’t, and why)
- Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience working with large or fast-scaling channels
- Exposure to multiple niches (education, business, storytelling, etc.)
- Basic understanding of editing workflows (not hands-on)
- Experience with YouTube automation or content scaling models
