About This Position

Position Summary

Prosperemos Juntos | Thriving Together accompanies community-driven coalitions as they design, implement, and sustain a health equity strategy, develop leadership, and shift power to persons with lived experience of health inequities. The PJTT Learning Phase Supervisor facilitates the Learning Phase of PJTT, supervising team members who work directly with coalitions as program officers, subject matter experts, organizational / coalition coaches, and internal MHM advocates. During the PJTT Learning Phase, this position is responsible for coordinating community outreach, team member training, curriculum development, application processes, events, documentation and continuous improvement of internal processes, timeline management, and usage of project management tools.

Salary

The annual salary for this position starts at $74,246.00, with a midpoint of $94,664.00. Most new hires begin within this range, based on their years of directly related experience and education. Candidates with exceptional qualifications that exceed the minimum requirements may be considered for compensation above the midpoint, in alignment with internal equity and IPM (Individual Pay Model) compensation guidelines.

Scope and Impact

This position will have 4 direct reports. It will not be directly responsible for managing a budget. The geographic impact will typically focus on the MHM region where the Learning Phase is currently happening.

Decision-Making Authority

This position has a high level of autonomy over programmatic decisions involving the PJTT Learning Phase, including curriculum, relationships with potential and/or current coalitions, and events. This person will also have primary responsibility for hiring staff, providing training, offering clarity and guidance about expectations, and coaching them for their role. This position is responsible for developing team members to accompany coalitions with high level of independence and proactive feedback by establishing clear performance expectations, autonomy milestones, and coaching team members to exercise sound judgment in dynamic community environments.

Interactions / Working Relationships

This position will work closely with other members of the PJTT Management team and the Community Connectors. There will be frequent collaboration with other departments, including Communications and IT&S, as well as periodic collaboration with Community Investments, Strategy, and Accounting. There will be weekly (sometimes daily) interactions with external stakeholders, primarily PJTT coalitions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise PJTT Learning Phase Team Members (65%)

  • Provide supervision, support, and guidance of team members in their role as points of contact for PJTT coalitions, including attendance at coalition meetings as needed.
  • Train and coach team members in the skills needed to facilitate conversations, planning efforts, and group decision-making processes with communities through critical thinking, teamwork, collaborative problem-solving, and inclusion
  • Coordinate and document internal training for PJTT processes, including team member onboarding, coalition budgets, event contracts and logistics, and communications with MHM departments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to team members making presentations in a variety of public settings on core PJTT frameworks, including Pathways to Population HealthEquity, vital conditions, stakeholder mapping, quantitative and qualitative measurement, driver diagrams, 90-day action planning, financial structures and processes, inclusion and engagement with persons with lived experience, and coalition governance. Continuously update knowledge and expertise on these and other topics as new research and practices in the field emerge.
  • Participate in development, facilitation, and ensuring achievement of Communities of Solutions departmental plans for team member engagement, as well as PJTT annual goals.
  • Participate in PJTT check-ins, as requested by the CoS Director and PJTT Manager.
  • Establish and reinforce clear standards for independent judgment, proactive practice, documentation integrity, and coalition representation.
  • Observe team members in coalition settings and provide direct, timely developmental feedback.
  • Coach team members to move from reactive task management toward proactive, strategic coalition accompaniment.
  • Define and monitor first-year progression benchmarks to ensure team members advance from structured learning to independent execution within expected timeframes.

Coordinate PJTT Learning Phase (35%)

  • Coordinate the development and continuous improvement of PJTT curriculum.
  • Lead PJTT Learning Phase projects and coordinate the use of project management tools such as Asana to advance PJTT projects and deliverables.
  • Facilitate the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of PJTT events.
  • Facilitate the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of PJTT outreach in designated regions and Learning Phase application process.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvements and documentation.
  • Prepare coalitions to enter the PJTT Implementation Phase through continually assessing their readiness.
  • Facilitate engagement with and involvement of other MHM departments in PJTT Learning Phase events and efforts, such as Communications and IT&S.
  • Coordinate the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships and communication with PJTT coalitions and their partners, including faith communities, community-based organizations, schools, and other nonprofits, ensuring that key stakeholders and MHM staff are consistently kept appropriately informed and engaged.
  • Contribute toward consistent, proactive, and accountable communication within the Communities of Solutions department and with interdepartmental efforts and working groups to remove barriers and foster healthy team dynamics.
  • Advocate for and contribute toward the advancement of health equity as both an outcome and a process by integrating community residents and MHM team members with recent lived experience of health inequities into decision-making processes throughout the organization.
  • Assist the PJTT Manager with financial approval processes as requested, including financial disbursements and event contracts.
  • Assist the PJTT Manager with team representation, internal and external presentations, gathering information, presentation development, data analysis, and other items as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly team meeting and Learning Phase portion of monthly coalition debrief session.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social/behavioral sciences, public health, ora related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in community outreach, organizing, or coalition building, including direct work with individuals who have lived experiences of inequities.

In lieu of a degree:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in community outreach, organizing, or coalition-building roles.

  • Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience engaging individuals with lived experience in projects, programs, and/or decision-making processesto shift power to community members.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, or developing individuals or teams.
  • Experience and knowledge in conflict resolution.
  • Other Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing processes, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency using project management, data, and communication platforms such as Asana, Luxx, and SharePoint.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of community development models, such as Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD).
  • Experience addressing health and social inequities in marginalized populations.
  • Experience in adult education and / or learning & development of curriculum.
  • Background in community organizing and working with grassroots organizations, including partnerships with faith-based organizations.
  • Strong project management, public speaking, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience coaching individuals or teams and supporting professional development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across departments and community partners.
  • Experience coaching teams, facilitating group processes, and fostering collaborative problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with grant management systems and program reporting processes.

Comfortable speaking and responding to questions in front of diverse audiences, including community members, leaders, and staff. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Must be able to develop documents and deliver presentations in both languages.

Technology and Tools

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and MS Teams. Must be able to navigate online platforms and systems effectively.
