The Global Communications & Engagement (GCE) Specialist is a versatile, cross-functional role responsible for supporting the integration of Creatives, Internal Communications, and Engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Engagement Supervisor, this individual will execute end to-end tasks—from drafting employee announcements and designing basic visual assets to coordinating event logistics. This role is designed for an adaptable professional who demonstrates proficiency in using AI prompts to streamline content creation and engagement strategies, ensuring a unified and innovative employee experience.
What does a day in the life of a Global Communications & Engagement (GCE) Specialist look like?
- Support the planning and execution of engagement campaigns and projects
- Assist in gathering and preparing data for metrics that measure the effectiveness of GCE campaigns and events
- Coordinate logistical requirements for events, such as venue booking, materials preparation, and RSVP management
- Assist in recording photo and video content at company events for internal engagement recaps
- Develop and update basic digital and physical collaterals (e.g., flyers, posters, and presentation decks) using established templates
- Manage and create communication materials for internal communication channels, such as intranets and employee forums
- Develop and implement communication strategies to reach target audiences, including customers, partners
- Ensure that content aligns with the organization's brand and messaging
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and government officials
- Assist in the administrative upkeep of GCE records and files
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
- Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
What are the required qualifications for a Global Communications & Engagement (GCE) Specialist?
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional office environment; internal candidates with a strong understanding of company culture are highly encouraged to apply
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using AI prompts (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) for content drafting, research, and task automation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Experience with social media and digital communications
- Basic familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and MS Office/Google Workspace
- Willingness to undergo training in multimedia design, professional writing, and event management
- Must have a growth mindset focused on efficiency and innovation, supported by strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Is adaptable and can manage tasks with minimum supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Multimedia Arts, or a related field
