Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical issues and malfunctions, and implement appropriate solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication, to prolong the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repair activities, and ensure stock levels are adequate to meet operational needs.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safe work practices.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and hours worked, to track equipment history and facilitate future repairs.
Yard Maintenance: Assist with general yard maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and organizing work areas, moving materials, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in performing maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles, machinery, or equipment, including skid loaders, backhoes, mini-excavators, booms, and cranes.
Experience: Previous experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
Teachable: Take advantage of opportunities to cross train on Trailer and Boom Pumps.
Problem-solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring all maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with coworkers to achieve common goals.
Physical Fitness: Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
Certifications: Any relevant certifications or licenses in automotive or equipment maintenance are a plus.
