Location: Recovering Hope Treatment Center – Mora, Minnesota
Position Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:45PM
Pay: $17.00-$22.85 per hour; based on experience

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. What You’ll Do

As a Daycare Teacher, you’ll guide daily classroom activities and support each child’s development through:

  • Supervising children at all times, both individually and in groups
  • Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum activities
  • Assisting with daily routines such as meals and personal care
  • Observing, assessing, and documenting each child’s growth and development
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
  • Supporting children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs
  • Keeping accurate accident and injury reports
  • Serving as a positive role model for children
  • Maintaining confidentiality for children, families, and staff
  • Leading parenting education and activities on a rotating Saturday schedule

Team Support & Additional Duties

  • Collaborate with the center team to provide high-quality care
  • Assist with general housekeeping, kitchen duties, and light maintenance
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 24 credits in a child care-related field
  • 4,160 hours of experience as an Assistant Teacher

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable with:

  • Communicating clearly with children, parents, and team members
  • Lifting children (up to 60 lbs) throughout the day
  • Sitting, standing, crouching, and engaging at a child’s level
  • Using child-sized furniture and being active in the classroom
  • Staying on your feet or moving for extended periods
