Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair on a variety of heavy equipment including: excavators, skid steers, trenchers, boom trucks, digger derricks, bucket trucks, directional drills, dump trucks, semi-trailers, and more.

  • Conduct routine automotive maintenance: oil changes, battery swaps, tire rotations, transmission service, HVAC recharges, etc.

  • Diagnose equipment issues using modern diagnostic tools and recommend effective repair solutions.

  • Ensure all machinery is operating safely and meets regulatory safety/emission standards.

  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time.

  • Wear appropriate PPE on all job sites and while in the yard.

  • Travel statewide to support active project sites with onsite mechanical repairs.

  • Comply with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols at all times.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment or field mechanic.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Valid drivers license required. CDL A Preferred

  • Must pass DOT physical to drive company vehicles.

  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Comfortable with basic math, written documentation, and communicating effectively with team members.

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.

  • Full-Time: MondayFriday

  • Some overtime may be required based on project or equipment needs
