We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems and equipment following industry best practices and in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to identify electrical issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Use electrical hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment to complete installations, repairs, and upgrades efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, modifications, and upgrades made to electrical systems.
- Read and interpret engineering schematics to build wire control panels in accordance with ul508 standards, industry best practices and other specifications as required.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, or comparable role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and ability to apply industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Prior experience with wire crimping and stripping.
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
- Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
