This role is focused on managing and enhancing client relationships within the employee benefits space, ensuring clients receive exceptional service and strategic guidance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating benefit plan implementation, compliance, and communication. The role involves analyzing plan designs, preparing proposals, supporting open enrollment activities, and addressing day-to-day client needs. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to optimize solutions for clients, driving satisfaction and retention. This position requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships
- Support client benefit strategy implementation, including plan design, renewal analysis, and carrier negotiations
- Prepare proposals, communication materials, and compliance resources to ensure smooth plan administration
- Coordinate and facilitate open enrollment meetings and client communications
- Keep clients informed of benefit trends, regulatory updates, and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and workflow logs in agency management systems
- Stay current on industry developments, legislation, and product offerings to provide informed guidance
- 2+ years’ experience as an Associate Client Manager or Client Manager in benefits consulting, brokerage, or medical carrier environments
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits lines, compliance requirements, and plan administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and agency management systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high interpersonal and client service aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail, tact, and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Required licenses: California Life and Health License; valid driver’s license
- Competitive base pay: $41.02 – $51.02 per hour (based on experience, skills, and market data)
