This leadership role sits at the intersection of technical architecture excellence and team management within a fast-growing healthcare data platform environment. You will guide a team of solution architects while actively contributing to complex, high-impact implementations that enable seamless healthcare data exchange. The role blends hands-on architectural design with people leadership, ensuring both delivery success and team development. You will support enterprise-scale deployments built on modern cloud-native and interoperability standards, helping customers unlock better healthcare outcomes through data. Working closely with engineering, product, and customer teams, you will influence technical direction while ensuring consistent execution quality. This is a highly strategic and technical position ideal for an experienced architect who thrives in both leadership and deep technical engagement.
- Lead and mentor a team of solution architects, defining objectives, development plans, and performance expectations while fostering technical growth and accountability
- Act as a hands-on architecture leader for complex implementations, supporting design decisions, escalations, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver scalable architecture solutions aligned with customer and business needs
- Contribute to the evolution of internal architecture practices by developing reusable frameworks, playbooks, and AI-enhanced delivery methodologies
- Participate in architecture governance activities such as Architecture Review Boards, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
- Support technical roadmaps, solution scoping, and business case development for strategic initiatives
- Drive innovation by recommending new technologies, improving delivery processes, and enhancing platform capabilities
- Establish best practices, performance metrics, and documentation standards to ensure consistent quality across the architecture function
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or enterprise platform delivery with a focus on scalable systems
- 3+ years of proven people leadership experience, including mentoring, performance management, and team development
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, particularly AWS environments, Kubernetes, and Helm-based deployments
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar
- Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines, including ETL processes, real-time streaming, and large-scale data workflows
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7 v2, and CDA
- Experience with enterprise-grade databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Aurora
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in complex technical environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and customer stakeholders
- Experience with healthcare regulatory or payer interoperability initiatives and architecture certifications such as TOGAF are considered strong assets
