Cloud Architect

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced cloud solutions supporting complex, mission-critical environments. Acting as a technical authority, you will shape cloud strategies, guide migration efforts, and ensure seamless integration across hybrid infrastructures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize systems, improve scalability, and enhance performance while maintaining strict security and compliance standards. Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute comprehensive cloud strategies, including architecture design and end-to-end migration planning
  • Develop scalable and secure cloud architecture solutions aligned with organizational and mission objectives
  • Lead cloud engineering efforts, including the creation of implementation plans and execution of migration initiatives across private and public cloud environments
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to transition legacy systems into modern cloud-based platforms
  • Ensure alignment of architecture designs with broader enterprise frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Evaluate and optimize cloud systems, applications, and infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to maintain data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide expert guidance, technical leadership, and troubleshooting support for complex cloud-related challenges
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational capabilities
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT architecture, including at least 3 years focused on cloud solution design and deployment
  • Strong background in systems and network engineering, with proven experience integrating complex environments
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure; familiarity with tools like Salesforce and Red Hat OpenShift is a plus
  • Required certification: CompTIA Security+ (Sec+)
  • Ability to design secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures aligned with industry and government standards
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, automation, and infrastructure optimization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within teams in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
