Qualifications
RS&H is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Architect / Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams of Architects, Engineers, and Interior Designers in our Denver, Colorado office. As a key member of our Buildings team, this role plays a critical part in delivering complex architectural projects from concept through construction while fostering strong client relationships and supporting business growth.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to take on both technical leadership and project management responsibilities in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to successfully deliver architectural projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Plan, develop, and execute architectural designs, including projects with unique and/or technically complex challenges.
- Participate in conceptual design and provide technical leadership through all phases of project delivery.
- Define project elements, processes, and technical solutions to meet client and contract requirements.
- Coordinate project planning, estimates, proposals, and bid preparation in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensure performance to contractual obligations through shared planning, monitoring of work orders, schedules, and deliverables.
- Serve as the lead technical authority on assigned projects and act as a subject matter expert on specialized systems.
- Promote and maintain strong client relationships throughout all project phases; act as a firm ambassador in pursuing new work.
- Review junior staff work for technical accuracy and provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development support.
- Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and construction observations.
- May lead a small team of direct reports and/or manage multidisciplinary project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including:
- Work on major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects
- Providing technical guidance to junior-level staff
- Reviewing work for technical accuracy
- Contributing to the design and implementation of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans with significant impact
- Active architectural license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and applicable ordinances.
- Proficiency in production software and construction document development.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver timely, innovative solutions.
- Proven ability to address complex challenges in a professional and business-focused manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- Design-Build project experience.

The salary range for this position in Denver is $112,000–$184,000 per year, representing the employer’s goodfaith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on jobrelated skills, experience, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable.
This role may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, an employee assistance program, retirement and financial protection programs (401(k), short and longterm disability), paid time off (including holidays and paid parental leave), and HSA funding up to $1,200 annually.
