About This Position

Human Intuition. Machine Intelligence. Relentless Exploration.
Exceptional trading emerges where human intuition meets frictionless experimentation. Our platform and processes enable traders to rapidly investigate ideas, identify emergent patterns, and convert insights into live strategies. This synthesis creates a flywheel of discovery — the key to our pursuit of excellence.
The Role:We are seeking a bright, technically-skilled, and detail-oriented graduate to join our Operations team. As a Technical Operations Analyst, you will be the engineer ensuring the integrity and stability of our entire trading lifecycle. This is not a traditional operations role; it is a hands-on technical position where you will apply your computer science skills to solve complex problems, automate critical processes, and safeguard our trading systems. You will be a key defender of the firm's platform and our ability to unlock P&L through rigorous processes and optimized workflows.
Responsibilities:
  • Automate & Oversee Reconciliations: Design, build, and maintain Python scripts to automate the daily reconciliation of P&L, positions, and cash, querying databases directly to ensure accuracy.
  • Diagnose & Solve System Issues: Act as a first responder to operational issues. Investigate the root cause of trade breaks and data discrepancies by analyzing system logs, querying databases, and collaborating with developers.
  • Develop Operational Tools: Build and enhance internal tools using Python and other technologies to streamline workflows, improve monitoring capabilities, and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Take ownership of the data flowing through our trading systems, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of trade, market, and reference data.
  • Enhance Business Controls: Collaborate with traders, quants, and engineers to implement and test the business controls, system limits, and compliance rules that govern our trading platform.

You Bring:
  • Education: A recent or upcoming Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A strong academic record is highly valued.
  • No Professional Experience Required: We are seeking foundational talent. A passion for technology and complex problem-solving is more important than prior experience in finance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Python and a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
    • Experience with the Linux/Unix command line (Bash) is highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of SQL and experience with databases is a major plus.
  • Key Attributes:
    • An Engineering Mindset: You are driven to not just identify problems, but to understand their root causes and build permanent, automated solutions.
    • Meticulous Ownership: You have a superlative attention to detail and a high sense of accountability for the quality and accuracy of your work.
    • Goal-Oriented & Productive: You are a diligent and focused individual who thrives on seeing projects through to completion.
    • A Collaborative Problem-Solver: You have strong communication skills and enjoy working within a team to solve challenging problems.

We Offer:
At our firm, our people come first. We are committed to building a culture of collaboration, where we support each other through challenges and celebrate our collective successes. We believe that the strength of a modern workplace lies in its diverse workforce—diverse in ideas, cultures, and experiences. We actively foster this environment and take pride in being an equal opportunity employer.
In compliance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Please note, this range excludes other components of total compensation, such as bonuses.
We offer competitive compensation packages, 401k matching, gender-neutral parental leave, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. While we value flexibility, we believe that in-person collaboration is key to solving complex challenges, which is why we require employees to be in the office 4 days a week. In-office perks include lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchens, happy hours, and a great location with amazing colleagues.
Our top priority is our people. We invest in a culture that promotes togetherness, helping each other through challenges and celebrating each other's successes. We believe that modern workplaces succeed by having diverse high-performance workforces — in ideas, in cultures, and in experiences. We put in the effort to make such a workplace a daily reality and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
