Job Summary

• Assists to plan, organize, develop, and implement the activity program in accordance with current federal, state regulations and local standards to ensure that an ongoing program meets the interests, the physical, the mental, and the psychosocial well-being of each resident.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the resident/customer’s status.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the facility.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in geriatric, medical or surgical preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Must have completed or be able to complete (120 hours) activity training course approved by the state of South Dakota.
• Must be willing to obtain SD certified nurse assistant licensure by completing and passing coursework, or currently hold a SD CNA license.
• This job position requires that you maintain a valid driver’s license, wear a seat belt and that you are insurable under Avera’s vehicle insurance policy.

Work Schedule

• 7:30 am - 4:00 pm as needed; As Needed

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.50 - $21.25
