About This Position
House Supervisor
*$15,000 sign-on bonus for applicants who have zero seniority at CMH and who meet all other conditions for payment**

The Nursing Supervisor’s role is a leadership position that supports senior leadership, staff, and patients fostering a safe and healing environment ensuring high quality care for our patients. Nursing Supervisors must model a passion for nursing. They need to be able to identify and constructively communicate barriers to the delivery of consistent, effective patient centered care. The ability to evaluate issues and identify trends and to solve issues both independently and collaboratively with senior leadership is essential.

Job Requirements
Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to: A thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures; knowledge and skills in techniques of good patient care. Must be able to read and write English, as well as speak and understand English.
License/Certification: RN currently licensed with the Oregon State of Board of Nursing. BLS through American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS and NRP required with six months of hire. Trauma Certification required with one year.
Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; 5 years in an acute care setting; 2 years of supervisory experience required - Critical Care or Emergency Department preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Ability to lift and transfer patients is required, usually with the assistance of co-workers. Normal or corrected vision is required. Normal or corrected hearing is necessary to distinguish differences in monitor alarms, heartbeats, and breathing. Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment. Subject to physical and emotional stress of work environment. Occasional exposure to infectious diseases. Works inside. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Long shifts necessary at times. Subject to occasional physical and emotional stress within a fast-paced environment. Pushes/pulls loaded adult stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, crash carts and equipment carts. Transfers patients to/from cars, stretchers, beds, chairs and ambulates as necessary. Tolerates bending, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling for 8 hours. Lifts or carries up to 50 lbs.
