About the Role:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the facility to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment and infrastructure. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs, to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of plant assets. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of technicians and maintenance staff, coordinating daily activities and managing resources to meet production goals efficiently. They collaborate closely with plant management and other departments to align maintenance objectives with overall business goals and compliance standards. Ultimately, the Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in sustaining continuous plant operations while driving improvements in maintenance processes and cost control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques and best practices.
- Proficiency in managing electrical systems and boilers within an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated experience with facility and plant maintenance operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Maintenance Management or Reliability Engineering (e.g., CMRP).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to plant operations.
- Previous experience managing maintenance teams in a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Manage and lead the maintenance team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for electrical systems, boilers, and other critical plant equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with plant management and production teams to plan maintenance schedules that minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize maintenance workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and procure necessary parts and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and key performance indicators.
Skills:
The Maintenance Manager applies their expertise in maintenance management daily by designing and executing maintenance plans that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Skills in predictive and preventive maintenance allow the manager to anticipate equipment failures and schedule timely interventions, reducing costly downtime.
