Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents' preferences

- Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to health and safety regulations

- Plan menus in collaboration with the dietary team, considering nutritional needs and variety

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed

- Assist with special event catering and meal service as required

- Follow portion control and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living, or senior care setting

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements for seniors

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
