The Sr. Acquisitions Editor will identify emerging trends, discover and partner with top subject-matter experts, and oversee content development from ideation to publication. Using generative AI tools alongside traditional editorial practices, this position drives innovative learning experiences that address critical skills gaps for professionals. The role requires strategic vision, strong project management, and exceptional relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams and external talent. It is ideal for an editorial or educational professional passionate about technology, continuous learning, and creating content that empowers learners to advance in their fields.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and execute multi-modal content strategies across text, video, live courses, labs, assessments, and on-demand training
  • Identify emerging technology trends, skills gaps, and market needs to inform content acquisition and development
  • Source, contract, and collaborate with subject-matter experts and instructors to create high-quality learning materials
  • Partner with generative AI tools and internal teams (development editors, instructional designers, and production) to co-create innovative content experiences
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, adjusting strategies and formats to maximize learner engagement and outcomes
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards
  • Serve as a domain expert, advising internal teams and supporting marketing and sales initiatives with detailed content insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, Education, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 8–10 years of editorial or education experience with progressive responsibility
  • Proficiency with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI tools for content ideation and prototyping
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple content initiatives concurrently
  • Exceptional relationship management and collaboration skills with both internal teams and external talent
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across departments
  • Passion for learning, adaptability, and curiosity to continuously grow in editorial strategy and content development
