BEE ACCESS – MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team that will create solid models, sketches, and 3D drawings and is encouraged to propose insightful and creative concepts for our next great projects. This role will participate in the lifecycle from conception of ideas to preparing production processes.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Generate ideas and conceptual designs for new and upgraded products for use in suspended scaffolding, in collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Engineering team members.
• Create detailed manufacturing, application and layout drawings using CAD models.
• Test new products to verify design intent through virtual or physical methods.
• Perform research and provide product solutions and application support to our Dealers and end-users.
• Provide technical details for product manuals and spec sheets based on intended use and design of product.
• Develop a working knowledge of the applicable industry standards.
• Work with Operations personnel to improve drawings, costs and manufacturing methods.
• Assist in the creation and expansion of the Engineering teams’ capabilities wherever possible.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• 2+ years of SolidWorks experience required, with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred, with construction industry exposure a plus.
• Foundational understanding of product development principles and project management.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented with an ability to manage shared assets in a team filing system with proper rev control.
• Advanced CAD experience with proficiency in SolidWorks is required along with working knowledge of 3D printers.
• Familiarity with basic model shop tools and procedures along with manufacturing processes such as CNC, forging, welding, stamping, casting, and injection.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable interacting directly and professionally with vendors, operations, sales, and other team members.
