This role focuses on driving growth in a competitive healthcare insurance market by expanding membership through strategic sales execution. You will manage and strengthen relationships with brokers and general agents while ensuring they are fully equipped to position and sell complex insurance products effectively. The role blends traditional field sales with innovative, locally driven partnership strategies designed to increase market awareness and adoption. You will also play a key role in identifying new distribution opportunities and testing creative approaches to accelerate growth. Operating in a remote-first field environment, you will spend significant time engaging with external partners and attending industry and community events. This position offers high visibility and direct impact on regional market performance and expansion strategy.
In this role, you will drive distribution growth and strengthen key partner relationships across assigned markets while contributing to broader sales innovation initiatives. You will:
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with brokers and general agents to support membership growth targets.
- Train and enable distribution partners on product positioning, benefits, and sales strategies.
- Represent the organization at broker meetings, industry events, and community engagements, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Identify, test, and evaluate new growth channels and local partnership opportunities.
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve sales tools, processes, and partner experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations while consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
This position requires strong healthcare sales experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate independently in a field-based environment. Ideal candidates bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution capability, with a strong understanding of insurance distribution channels.
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare industry outside sales.
- 3+ years of experience presenting and engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Active insurance license required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
- Comfortable working in a field-based role with up to 50% travel.
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
- Annual base salary range: $96,876 – $127,149.75, plus commission eligibility
