You will oversee end-to-end cost accounting activities, ensuring integrity in inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and financial reporting. Acting as a key partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A, you will translate complex cost structures into actionable insights that improve margin and efficiency. You will also lead and develop a team of cost accounting professionals while strengthening processes, controls, and system capabilities. This position combines technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnership in a dynamic, evolving organization. - Lead and develop the cost accounting team, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and continuous professional growth while managing competing priorities across the function
- Oversee cost accounting operations including inventory valuation, COGS analysis, cost reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Establish, maintain, and improve cost accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards aligned with GAAP and business requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A to align on cost drivers, identify efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making
- Provide detailed cost analysis to support pricing strategies, margin optimization, product launches, and investment decisions
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to inventory and cost structures, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial plans
- Drive enhancements in ERP systems and cost accounting tools to improve automation, scalability, and data integrity
- Contribute to external audits, scenario modeling, and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership decision support
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a cost accounting leadership role
- Strong expertise in manufacturing cost structures, inventory accounting, and ERP systems (NetSuite required)
- Proven ability to build and maintain internal controls, financial processes, and scalable cost accounting frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, cost analysis, and scenario planning
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex cost issues and translate data into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated success collaborating across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience supporting pricing models, margin analysis, and business decision-making is highly valued
- Competitive base salary range: $125,000 – $135,000 USD
