Accountabilities:

  • Oversee cost accounting operations including inventory valuation, COGS analysis, cost reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Establish, maintain, and improve cost accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting standards aligned with GAAP and business requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and FP&A to align on cost drivers, identify efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making
  • Provide detailed cost analysis to support pricing strategies, margin optimization, product launches, and investment decisions
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to inventory and cost structures, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial plans
  • Drive enhancements in ERP systems and cost accounting tools to improve automation, scalability, and data integrity
  • Contribute to external audits, scenario modeling, and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership decision support
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a cost accounting leadership role
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing cost structures, inventory accounting, and ERP systems (NetSuite required)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain internal controls, financial processes, and scalable cost accounting frameworks
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, cost analysis, and scenario planning
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex cost issues and translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting pricing models, margin analysis, and business decision-making is highly valued
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range: $125,000 – $135,000 USD
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off including vacation days, sick leave, holidays, and mental health days
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Fully remote-first work model with monthly utility stipend (internet and phone support)
  • Paid parental leave and family support benefits
  • Employee assistance program and mental health resources
  • Life, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance coverage
  • Wellness programs, employee discounts, and recognition initiatives
