Azure Data Architect in India at Jobgether

This role is focused on designing and delivering scalable, high-performance data ecosystems on Microsoft Azure for enterprise-grade analytics and business intelligence. You will play a key role in shaping modern data architectures that support both real-time and batch processing across complex, distributed environments. The position involves building robust data pipelines, enabling seamless data integration, and ensuring data is structured for advanced analytics and AI use cases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to transform raw data into actionable insights. Operating in a remote-first environment, you will also contribute to defining best practices, improving system performance, and strengthening governance and security frameworks. This is a high-impact role combining architecture, engineering leadership, and hands-on technical execution.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Python/PySpark for both real-time and batch processing.
• Architect modern data warehouse and data lake solutions optimized for performance, scalability, and analytics readiness.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration frameworks from diverse structured and unstructured data sources.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance controls including RBAC, encryption, and Azure Purview-based management.
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows to improve performance and system efficiency.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices across data projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data teams to deliver reliable, insight-driven data solutions.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles with strong Azure cloud exposure.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage.
• Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark, SQL, and optionally Scala.
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and large-scale data processing systems.
• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring of data workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps tools in data engineering environments.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineers and defining technical standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
