Salary Range: $19.00 plus bonus potential

Summary:

A Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the assigned specific area, ensuring proper identification, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect a company’s property, employees, and visitors.

Monitoring activities in assigned location on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secureEvicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take overControlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocolsProviding detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to managementUsing provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise mannerPerforming CPR or first aid when neededAny other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements & Work Environment:

Have current TWIC card certification (required).
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.Prolonged periods of standing or sitting. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times. Ability to communicate in English to our associates and guests. Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation.Must have or must be willing to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Ability to work in an unheated building. Willing to live in a remote, rural community Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote settingAble to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weatherIn Season, the hours can be extended.
