Position Overview Overwatch Mission Critical is seeking a Construction Talent Interviewing Lead to serve as the internal subject matter expert and first formal interview authority for data center construction talent across our staff augmentation and owner’s-rep portfolio. This role is designed for a seasoned construction professional with deep knowledge of data center construction roles across the full project lifecycle, including technicians, construction managers, MEP, commissioning, design support, and project controls. The Construction Talent Interviewing Lead works in partnership with Overwatch’s Sales and Recruiting teams to understand role scope, evaluate candidate alignment, and ensure only well-qualified, properly matched candidates are presented to clients.

Key Responsibilities Role Scoping & Internal Alignment
- Partner with Sales and Recruiting teams to understand role scope prior to submission
- Translate client needs into clear, technically accurate role expectations
- Identify scope gaps, leveling issues, or misalignment early
- Support accurate role definition across technicians, CM, MEP, commissioning, design, and controls
Candidate Interviewing & Technical Evaluation
- Serve as the first formal technical interview for candidates
- Evaluate construction experience, data center exposure, and role alignment
- Determine best-fit placement or readiness
- Provide structured feedback before client presentation
Recruiting Partnership & Enablement
- Act as an embedded construction SME for recruiters
- Clarify role distinctions and transferable skills
- Reduce misaligned submissions and interview churn
Candidate Experience & Brand Stewardship
- Ensure transparency, professionalism, and respect
- Accurately position roles and expectations
- Protect Overwatch’s reputation through quality submissions
Qualifications
- 5+ years in data center or mission-critical construction
- Deep understanding of MEP, commissioning, and construction sequencing
- Strong interview and evaluation capability
