Wages
$100,000 - $105,000 annual salary range

Job Summary
COPAL is hiring a Senior Director of Programs & Impact to oversee COPAL’s core programmatic and community impact areas, ensuring high-quality delivery, cross-department alignment, and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight to COPAL’s program departments, including Health & Wellness, Environmental Justice, Development, and Communications.
- Supervise directors and managers, offering coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Ensure programs are mission-aligned and community-centered.
- Oversee program staffing and operational needs.
- Manage budget planning, allocation, monitoring, and reporting to ensure effective use of organizational resources.
- Promote cross-program collaboration to create holistic support pathways for community members.
- Strengthen internal communication, systems, and coordination across all program areas.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to integrate programs with fundraising, communications, advocacy, and evaluation efforts.
- Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and timekeeping for program teams.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and multi-year planning.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of program outcomes and impact measures.
- Identify opportunities for program innovation, growth, and systems-change work.
- Represent COPAL in community spaces, coalitions, and with partners to strengthen program impact.
- Build relationships with allies, public officials, and other stakeholders to advance COPAL’s programmatic goals.
- Support public communications by sharing program accomplishments, community stories, and advocacy priorities.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree plus three to seven years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading major fundraising initiatives, capital campaigns, or large-scale development strategies.
- Proven track record in coalition leadership, cross-sector partnerships, or policy or advocacy initiatives.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation with a flexible outlook and strong ethical values.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet COPAL’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
