Construction Laborer at SJS Executives LLC – San Francisco, California

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking reliable Construction Laborers to work full time for SJS Executives supporting ongoing facilities maintenance operations at a local Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in San Francisco.

SJS Executives is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; we specialize in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

The Pay for this position is expected to be $26.33/hr.

Responsibilities:

Provide general labor support for flooring, handrail installation, painting, and ceiling system work

Stage and place materials, tools, and equipment to support efficient job site operations

Assist skilled trades personnel with installation activities as directed

Perform material handling, job site organization, and daily clean-up

Execute rough subsurface preparation including basic demolition, surface sanding, and material removal

Assist with application of floor levelers and preparation of surfaces for final finishes

Hang and position rough materials in preparation for finishing work on floors, walls, and ceilings

Perform apprentice-level painting including priming and application of basecoats using brush and roller

Assist with installation of ceiling systems, including cutting and placement of ceiling tiles

Install, modify, and dismantle modular office furniture, workstations, and related systems

Set up and break down work benches, ladders, and other job-site equipment

Qualifications:

Minimum four (2) years of experience in construction with focus on flooring, ceilings, and handrails.

This experience MUST be shown on your resume.

In accordance with federal regulations, possession of a valid Real ID is a requirement for this position.

Must satisfy all additional federal, VA, and facility-specific credentialing requirements.

Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
