About This Position
As a Design Manager at Think Company, you’ll develop and lead a team of designers working on complex digital products and services across industries. You’ll play a central role in growing people, shaping their careers, and raising the quality of design work delivered in a consulting environment.

- Location: Remote-first (U.S. – East Coast)
- Employment type: Full-time, Exempt
- Travel: Occasional travel for client engagements, workshops, and company gatherings, including periodic in-person meetings in Philadelphia
- Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–10 designers across career stages
- Shape individual growth through clear feedback, career pathing, and ongoing development conversations
- Guide team members in delivering thoughtful, high-quality UX and product design work
- Act as a strategic advisor on client projects, helping teams navigate complexity and ambiguity
- Partner with leadership to align staffing, team health, and delivery quality across projects
- Build a strong, well-rounded team through hiring and onboarding
- Advance design practices, including how AI tools are applied in research, design, and delivery
What You Bring
- Experience developing designers into stronger practitioners through coaching, mentoring, and career growth
- A track record of driving career growth through structured feedback, growth planning, and progression conversations
- A strong foundation in UX strategy and/or product design, with hands-on delivery experience
- Ability to lead and guide work across multiple projects, teams, and client contexts
- Confidence operating as a strategic partner in client-facing environments
- Clear, thoughtful communication skills, including the ability to deliver direct, constructive feedback
- Ability to balance advocacy for your team with business and client needs
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working in a consultancy or agency environment
- Familiarity with industries like media, telecom, or healthcare/pharma
- Experience helping teams adopt new tools, methods, or ways of working
