A Creative Director in this role will lead end-to-end digital design engagements, shaping projects from early client conversations through final delivery.
You will operate at the intersection of strategy, content, and design, ensuring complex digital experiences are both meaningful and executable.
The role requires guiding discovery, defining design direction, and translating ambiguous client needs into clear, buildable systems.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, strategists, and content experts, in a fully remote environment.
A strong focus will be placed on content-driven platforms, editorial ecosystems, and large-scale digital products.
You will also play a key role in client communication, presenting work in a way that builds trust and alignment without relying on “big reveal” moments.
This position is ideal for a leader who balances strategic thinking with hands-on design execution.
- Lead design engagements from early sales conversations through discovery, concept development, system design, and final developer handoff, ensuring strategic clarity at every stage.
- Shape project framing during pre-sales discussions, helping identify true client needs and guiding solution direction before proposals are finalized.
- Run discovery sessions including workshops, stakeholder interviews, and content/analytics reviews to define project strategy and structure.
- Develop scalable design systems and oversee execution across digital platforms, ensuring consistency from concept to launch.
- Guide content-heavy and editorially complex experiences such as publishing platforms, knowledge systems, and marketing sites.
- Support brand-related decisions when needed, ensuring alignment between identity, content, and digital experience.
- Present design work to clients in a clear, collaborative, and transparent way that builds confidence and shared understanding.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading end-to-end digital design projects for complex, content-rich products or platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both strategic thinking and high-quality design execution across systems and interfaces.
- Ability to move fluidly between big-picture systems thinking and detailed screen-level design craft.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions to non-designers.
- Experience collaborating closely with developers and content strategists as integrated partners in the process.
- Strong understanding of content-driven digital experiences and how editorial structure impacts design.
