In this role, you will lead and shape the future of large-scale infrastructure and platform engineering within a fast-growing, AI-first organization. You will be responsible for defining vision, strategy, and execution across cloud, database, and event-driven systems that power all product teams. This is a high-impact leadership position where you will build both technical foundations and organizational structure from an early, evolving stage. You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to drive scalability, reliability, and developer velocity. The role combines strategic direction with deep technical awareness, requiring someone who thrives in ambiguity and transformation. • Define and drive the vision and long-term strategy for infrastructure and platform engineering
• Lead cloud, database, and event infrastructure teams to deliver scalable and reliable systems
• Build and evolve internal developer platforms that improve engineering velocity and experience
• Establish data-driven metrics to measure productivity, quality, and platform effectiveness
• Reduce operational burden (KTLO) through automation, optimization, and AI-driven transformation
• Champion AI-first engineering practices, integrating automation and AI tools into workflows
• Oversee reliability and incident response for core infrastructure services
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align platform priorities with company goals
• Develop and mentor engineering managers and technical leaders, strengthening leadership depth
• Drive hiring, retention, and organizational development across infrastructure teams
• Ensure clear communication of roadmap, trade-offs, and platform impact across stakeholders

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in engineering leadership roles within infrastructure or platform organizations
• Proven track record of building and scaling cloud, database, or distributed systems platforms
• Strong experience leading engineering teams and managers in complex technical environments
• Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture, developer platforms, and system design trade-offs
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and a clear vision for AI-driven transformation in engineering workflows
• Strong ability to define and track engineering metrics such as velocity, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Experience improving developer experience and reducing operational overhead in large systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong mentoring and coaching abilities, with experience developing engineering leaders
• Ability to operate effectively in 0-to-1, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments
• Strategic mindset combined with practical execution capabilities
