About This Position
OverviewIgnite Banking is seeking a Senior Director, Technical Client Engagement Manager to lead complex client relationships, shape technical solution architectures, and drive enterprise technology roadmaps within the digital banking space. This senior, client-facing role sits within our Technology Strategy & Delivery Practice and serves as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise, strong banking industry experience, and proven leadership to deliver high-impact digital transformation and application development initiatives, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships based on earned trust and accountability.This leader will guide planning, execution, and delivery across diverse banking platforms and vendors, ensuring client objectives are achieved with excellence. A strong ability to build trusted relationships, advocate for client priorities, and align solutions with broader business strategies is critical to success.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and sustain long-term executive relationships with major banking clients, ensuring alignment with technical and business goals.Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology consulting engagements, including planning, execution, and oversight of complex multi-team initiatives.Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.Assemble and guide project teams, define resource needs, establish schedules, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Partner with clients to shape technology roadmaps, define deliverables, and resolve dependencies and impediments across programs.Identify risks, issues, and interdependencies across initiatives, ensuring effective mitigation and integration.Actively manages stakeholder partnerships, identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budgetContribute and/or lead the clarification of project scope, objectives, desired outcomes, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.Management and oversight of technical dependencies (1st and 3rd party), and integration of interrelated projectsApply expertise in both Agile and traditional delivery methods, adapting approaches to fit client environments and business needs.Demonstrate understanding of the business impact of technology initiatives and translate technical outcomes into business value.The successful candidate will have:A wide understanding of key platforms within banking/enterprise technology, including digital banking, and vendors serving large regional and small community banks (Fiserv, Jack Henry, Bottomline, Q2, ACI, FIS, Hogan etc.)Significant banking experience, across technology delivery functions, and a unique ability to identify solutions to complex business and technology problemsStrong ability to analyze, discover, architect, and propose solutions to complex technical problems in alignment with broader client business/technology strategy and roadmapsAbility to analyze variable technical/resource/delivery factors and determine the best course of actionSolid understanding of software development life cycle. Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.15+ years of banking experience (ideally within Commercial/Treasury and/or merger, acquisition, conversion experience)15+ years of technical experience, delivery focused, hands-on, self starterPrior consulting experience preferredCompensation: Salary + BonusLocation: Remote (~10-25% travel)About Our Team & CultureIgnite Banking is a high-performing team of senior consultants working on mission-critical, complex financial services projects.
