The Daily Wire is seeking an Opinion Reporter to produce timely, compelling commentary on current news, political developments, and cultural issues. Reporting to the Opinion Editor, this role contributes original arguments and perspectives that reflect The Daily Wires editorial voice and mission.
This position is ideal for a strong writer with sound judgment and a deep interest in engaging thoughtfully with complex and often controversial topics. As an Opinion Reporter, you will play an important role in shaping public discourse through persuasive, well-reasoned commentary grounded in accurate information.Primary Responsibilities

• Write original opinion columns, essays, and commentary under deadline
• Develop clear, persuasive arguments informed by current events, research, and editorial direction
• Conduct background research and fact-check claims to ensure accuracy
• Stay current on news, policy debates, and cultural trends to produce timely commentary
• Collaborate closely with the Opinion Editor through drafting, editing, and revision
• Respond to editorial feedback to strengthen clarity, structure, and impact
• Uphold organizational standards for accuracy, fairness, and responsible commentary
• Contribute story ideas and pitches aligned with opinion section priorities

Experience & Requirements

• Background in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field preferred.
• Strong persuasive writing and argumentation skills
• Ability to meet frequent and fast-paced deadlines
• Solid research and fact-checking abilities
• Comfort engaging with controversial or polarizing topics
• Clear editorial voice and point of view
