Registered Nurse Cath/EP Lab - Temporary Assignment at CaroMont Health – Gastonia, North Carolina

Job Summary: To perform diversified duties in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Hybrid OR, assisting the cardiologist intra-procedurally including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. The RN will be competent to monitor and circulate simple device implant cases, simple peripheral vascular cases, diagnostic heart catheterizations, and STEMI. Responsibilities also include STEMI on-call team coverage and precepting new or existing employees.

Qualifications: Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals and families for positive results and outcomes. Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license. 1 year of nursing experience required in specialty area. One year of traveler experience preferred. Cannot be a Full Time or Part Time CaroMont Employee. BLS/ACLS certification required. Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, special procedural settings, or critical care preferred.
